Union Transfer, Philadelphia’s premier music venue is available for your private event. A former luggage transfer station for the adjacent Reading Railroad, the space has been renovated into a beautiful and unique event hall. Sky-high ceilings, dramatic chandeliers, stained glass throughout the building coupled with a state of the art sound and lighting system ensures your event will be one to remember. With a large lobby, four bars and a mezzanine with tiered seating and a balcony we can host events from 200 to 1200 people.
Centrally located in Center City, we are one of the few facilities to feature a parking lot for your guests (We have two of them!) Only a 10 minute walk from several different public transportation stops and just a few blocks from I-95/676 entrance/exit ramps. Getting to Union Transfer could not be easier.
Within eighteen months of opening we were featured in Rolling Stone Magazine’s “Top 20 Venues in America” and named by the BBC as “one of the hottest venues on the US east coast”. We have worked alongside several wonderful organizations including The Jimmy Rollins Foundation (Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins), Jill Scott’s Blues Babe Foundation and WXPN Kids Corner. Not to mention countless weddings, parties, performnaces and of course concerts.
