Two Tongues
Two Tongues
Two Tongues is back. The duo, featuring Max Bemis of Say Anything and Chris Conley of Saves The Day, has announced their first tour ever as Two Tongues. In addition to a headlining full band set, the show will also feature a special collaborative set where Bemis and Conley will share the stage to trade off playing songs from their respective band’s collection (including some performed as duets). Also performing on the full US tour is Worcester, MA-based newcomers Backwards Dancer. The four-piece outfit will also serve as the backing band for Two Tongues. Backwards Dancer’s debut EP, New Life In Old Shoes, is out now and is available at BackwardsDancer.bandcamp.com and YouTube.

“Our first record was a life changing event and making album two was the most emotionally involved process I’ve ever been a part of musically,” notes Bemis. Two Tongues was lying dormant, ready to come out and kick ass when the time was right, and that time is now. Playing all these songs, some of which are almost ten years old, as well as those from our new album and our individual bands, is going to be a special, special experience, not to mention the dynamic of singing to each other live the way we do on the record. I love our new album and I can’t wait for this tour!”

Conley adds, “Ditto! So Way Psyched!! Long Live Two Tongues!!! #AllOurLove.”

Two Tongues formed in 2008 and released their debut full-length in 2009. They will release their long-awaited full-length later this year via Equal Vision Records, with details to be announced soon.
Backwards Dancer
Backwards Dancer
Loud, honest, thoughtful and intense; Backwards Dancer's debut EP - New Life In Old Shoes - tells an ordinary narrative in an extraordinary way. Frontman Zack Shaw (former vocalist of The Hotelier) speaks with a conviction and sincerity that pushes the boundaries of modern indie rock without losing sight of who Backwards Dancer truly is. This sense of realness is intrinsic to the band's anatomy, compelling audiences to reflect on themselves in the same way that Shaw is so capable of doing.

Formed in 2014, Backwards Dancer quickly developed into their unique style of emo rock. With influences ranging from Nirvana to Brand New to Radiohead, the band – comprised of Shaw, bassist Ian van Opijnen, guitarist Ryan Kelleher, and drummer Andy Underwood – seamlessly translates deep intrapersonal emotion into thoughtfully orchestrated compositions. Recording, writing and rehearsing in Attleboro, MA, the band collectively works to bring their music to life. Van Opijnen's production lifts the ideas of Backwards Dancer into fruition with ingenuity and poise, allowing each member's talent to shine in their respective soundscapes. The synergy of the band creates an intense musical experience; both in the studio and on stage.
