The Towering Pine
The Towering Pine
Philadelphia’s dark-folk alt-rock band, The Towering Pine, strives to keep things organic and natural. Their moody songs remind listeners to take the time to feel the grain of the wood; to let the music take them to a place primed in self-reflection, like walking through an autumn field and seeking shelter beneath a towering tree as a storm looms on the horizon.

Influences cross most genre lines but listeners can expect to hear The Towering Pine’s songs and ideas heavily infected by Neil Young, Kurt Cobain, and Fat Mike.

The Towering Pine is:
-Led by Singer/Songwriter Adam Phaneuf, best known as the drummer for Philly bands The Last Barbarians, Come Dionysus and Reverend Mantis.
-Frank Rogalski, formally of Dust & Bones, spends his days fighting crime and nights playing lead guitar. His keen ear and unique Hendrix-style lend ornate decoration to TP’s songs.
-Tony Giunta, past member of Philly bands Come Dionysus, Stone River Union and People are Animals, brings the backbeat with his steadfast bass skills.
-Rey Santiago, formerly of the Jesse Marquez Band and Dark Mischief, ignites the music with his enthusiastic drumming.

The original Towering Pine demos were written and recorded solely by Adam Phaneuf, partially at the Grammy-award winning Trading 8’s studio in Paramus, NJ and partially in his Fishtown basement. The band slowly formed through numerous craigslist jams and patient searching for the right chemistry.
Conversations
A surfy indie band from Philadelphia, Conversations writes thoughtful and fun lyrics on top of a sea of summery rock grooves. Captivating harmonies and catchy hooks create songs about life, friends, and love. Performing for audiences from Texas to Maine, this four piece draws inspiration from The Beatles and Weezer alike. The group's much anticipated debut release Totally Redeem Yourself was released in 2015 and the band has performed with The Beach Boys, The Dead Milkmen, Dogs on Acid amongst many others.
